Product Details

Located on the front of the animal, the Whole Scotch Fillet / Rib Eye is a round muscle prized for its internal marbling. Considered the ‘second best’ steak cut, after the Tenderloin, you can instantly tell a Cube Roll by the circular pieces of fat running through the middle of the muscle.


Uses:
-Best for BBQ as steaks
-Cooked whole for groups
-Steaks seared in a hot pan andthen finished in the oven

-Scotch is the King of the BBQ! Season well with heaps of flaky salt, cracked pepper and oil. Place into a hot griddle pan, flat pan, flat plate or BBQ until cooked to your liking.
-Huge meat skewers with onions and peppers
-Seared whole, brushed with mustard and then sprinked with meat rub before cooking in the oven on 180 degrees until the centre reaches 55 degrees (using a meat thermometer)

Cuts

This will give you 14-16 steaks, or serve 15-20 adults if cooked whole.

Cooking Tips

Our Whole Cube Rolls are great for roasting and serving as a centre piece during a meal or celebration, or for slicing into steaks at your desired thickness.

If you’re slicing into steaks, we recommend ageing the meat in its vacuum bag first before cutting and freezing the steaks. This way, when you pull them out of the freezer, they’re ready to go.
