Ginger, Sesame and Coriander Beef Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons coriander seeds
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 500g  Green Meadows Angus Beef Stir Fry
  • 1 tablespoon Harvest Roasted Sesame Oil, plus an extra teaspoon to serve
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large red onion
  • 5 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 thumb sized piece of ginger, cut into matchsticks
  • 350g broccoli, cut into small florets, steamed until just cooked through
  • 3 tablespoons tamari or light soy sauce
  • 1 cup roughly chopped coriander (leaves and stalks)
  • 1 red chilli, thinly sliced
  • Rice or noodles to serve

Method:

In a mortar and pestle finely grind the coriander seeds. Alternatively you can use a spice or coffee grinder or put them into a ziplock bag and bash them with a rolling pin. Add the sesame seeds and salt and mix well to combine. Put the beef into a bowl, scatter over the coriander mixture and mix well to combine. Set aside.

Heat the sesame and olive oils in a heavy-bottomed frying pan over a medium-high heat. Once hot add the onion, garlic and ginger and fry until the onion is translucent and soft. Add the beef and stir fry until just cooked through. Add the broccoli, tamari and the remaining 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and cook for a further minute. Remove from the heat and add the coriander, mixing well to combine.

Scatter over the sliced chilli and serve immediately with rice or noodles.
